About Ann Fader, president and founder of Portrait Consultants

With a roster of immediately recognizable names as portrait clients, Ann Fader advises
our nation's celebrated and distinguished political, academic and corporate leaders on the
selection of the best artist to create the perfect portrait. Her business philosophy is built
on the principle that a trusted reputation is earned and re-earned with every portrait.

Ann Fader has been a portrait consultant for more than 2 decades and has served at the
highest levels of business in the art world. She was Associate Director of the Andre
Emmerich Gallery in New York City, one of the finest galleries in the world. From there,
she garnered success as an accomplished private art dealer, advising major corporations
and private clients who wished to build American Contemporary Masters collections.
Ms. Fader is also responsible for organizing the first art and architecture exhibition for
New York City, which received a full-page review in The New York Times.

She grew up in the art world; her father, Jack Fader, a well-known art critic, was the
managing partner of ARTS Magazine and publisher of ARTNews, then owned by The
Washington Post. Ms. Fader holds a BA degree in Art History, and did post-graduate
work in Architecture at Columbia University. She also is a graduate of the prestigious
High School of Music & Art in New York City.

Ms. Fader's expertise and dedication to excellence in portraiture is well recognized in
the United States and around the world.
